Julie is an award winning playwright from Glasgow who was mentored with Playwrights' Studio, Scotland in 2012.
In 2017 Julie's short play Lilyburgh Lane was one of the four plays to win the Scotland Short Play Award.
Julie is currently coming to the end of a two year professional writers programme with Yellow Earth Theatre in London. Her play Fix will have a reading at Soho theatre in March 2019.
An extract of her play The Family Unit will be read as part of Rep Stripped festival at Dundee Rep in April 2019.
A short version of The Family Unit was performed as part of Women Night with Actor Awareness in London earlier this year, and the full play will be part of a New Writing Festival at Barons Court Theatre in September 2019.
Julie's plays have been performed and read at the Tron Theatre, Traverse Theatre, Cumbernauld Theatre and The Beacon Arts Centre. Recently her work has been read/performed in London at Spotlight Studios, Theatre 503 and Soho Theatre.
Julie is a facilitator for Stage to Page, a voluntary collective of writers, directors and actors who meet monthly to conduct short public workshops of scenes from brand new plays.
