Writers' Hub with Paines Plough

Roundabout @ Summerhall
Tuesday 20th August, 1pm

FREE

We’re joining forces with Paines Plough, who mark 50 years of supporting playwrights this year, to create a day that celebrates writers, writing and connection.

WORKSHOP, 1pm – 2.30pm
This workshop, led by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm (Olivier Award winning playwright of Emilia and current Playwrights' Studio mentor), will centre a discussion of what ‘process’ actually means when it comes to finding the right one for the project and for you.

DISCUSSION, 3pm-5.30pm
We're creating a space together for Scottish playwrights to come together with writers from around the UK and beyond. This is a space for playwrights to speak with their peers, facilitated by other writers, about the topics relevant to them and their work right now, and to consider what we can do to build a strong sector for playwrights in the future.

Q&A, 5.30pm-6.30pm
Join Paines Plough patron and Olivier Award winning writer James Graham (Dear EnglandThis House) for a Q&A and discussion.
