Fringe to Screen: Events

Fringe Connect are running two Screen Fringe events taking place at Fringe Central (6 Infirmary Street Edinburgh EH1 1LS) during August.

Both sessions are free and available to playwrights who are interested in understanding how their work and careers might extend into TV and film, whether they are already pursuing screen opportunities or are only beginning to explore them.

Fringe to Screen 1: Ask an Agent

Monday 10th August, 12.30–1.30pm

A practical session for playwrights and writer-performers curious about representation for TV and film. Leading agents will discuss what they do, what they look for, when a writer might be ready to approach them, and how to make that first contact professionally.

Fringe to Screen 2: Screen Potential

Tuesday 11th August, 10.30–11.30am

TV and film development executives will explore what “screen potential” means in practice: what decision-makers look for in live work, what makes an idea translate from stage to screen, and how development progresses from an initial conversation towards a screen project.
