Services include the National Script Reading ServiceA Play, A Pie and A Pint Script Reading Service, the Plays Library, use of The Space or The Space Online, and renting a desk in the Tom McGrath Writers' Room. We love to meet playwrights! If you are new to playwriting, or Playwrights' Studio, need advice, or simply a listening ear - get in touch. We work closely with colleagues across the cultural sector and can help make introductions, offer guidance, or point you in the right direction of resources and opportunities beyond Playwrights' Studio - whatever stage of your career.

Become a board member

Playwrights' Studio, Scotland seeks new non-executive directors to join its current board of individuals with different backgrounds, interests and experience all equally committed to delivering the vision and mission of the UK's only playwright development organisation. Directors and actors

If you are a director or actor who is interested in the work of Playwrights' Studio, please send your CV to Emma McKee, General Manager at emma@playwrightsstudio.co.uk. Your details will be added to our database. Directors are appointed in consultation with individual playwrights where appropriate.  It is the decision of each individual playwright and/or director as to the casting of actors for each individual project. However, we are often asked for suggestions.

Staff are always happy to be invited to new writing events/showcases you may be directing/performing in. Invitations can be sent to info@playwrightsstudio.co.uk.
