The Mistress of Greenbyres
Joe Corrie
An all-woman play with excellent characterisation and plenty of laughter. Helen married John and went to the farm of Greenbyres full of new labour-saving ideas. She incurs the wrath of John's two old-fashioned sisters who see nothing but ruin facing their brother. When Helen goes into the sea for a bathe it is more than they can stand, and they swoop down on Greenbyres to take the matter in hand, but circumstances make them change their minds.
